Summary

This study assesses agricultural development under President Muhammadu Buhari's administration (2015–2023) in Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State. It examines the nature of agricultural programs, farmer participation, and their impact on productivity and rural development. Findings reveal that while initiatives aimed to improve inputs, financing, and extension services were introduced, challenges like insecurity, inadequate funding, limited awareness, and poor infrastructure hindered their effectiveness. The research concludes that the overall impact was moderate due to these constraints and recommends improved security, increased funding, effective monitoring, and stronger farmer-government collaboration.
